Overview
Welcome offers and promotions were built to bring the right players to WynnBET and keep them engaged, yet the experience around them was getting in the way.
There was no clear home for offers, nothing to explain them during sign up, and no easy way to see what you were working towards. As Head of UX, my role was to rebuild the promotional journey end to end, across registration, deposit, the promotions page and bet placement, so offers were clear, findable and worth acting on.
The Problem
Promotions are why people choose, and why they leave. In a market where switching apps is easy and offers drive the decision, promotions were one of the main reasons people registered and one of the main reasons they would move on.
WynnBET’s offers were competitive, but an experience that hid them and made the requirements confusing was quietly undermining them. The opportunity was to make the whole promotional journey clear, trustworthy and engaging, from the first screen through to placing a bet, so a strong offer actually felt like one.
